Being a prostitute, paying a prostitute, pimping for a prostitute, probably sinful. Being legally married to someone that is secretly a prostitute? Sounds more unfortunate than sinful.

Is that because the same happened with Joseph, and God felt guilty that he had knocked up his wife before Joseph had a chance to get his way with her?
