I worked at a job once that didn’t offer direct deposit and it was a known thing that you weren’t to bring it up with the boss. Different people had different theories as to why he was so touchy about it. It was really weird. Then it all became clear at the end when he would straight up not pay anybody. Can’t keep them checks to yo self if they’re goin out automatically!
